Carol Lipnik and Rachelle Garniez, acclaimed songwriter-vocalists and fixtures of New York’s Downtown music scene, join forces in an homage to one of their most treasured inspirations, the great Joni Mitchell.

“Songs to Aging Children Come” is a harmonically exotic meditation on conscious listening. One of her lesser heard compositions, Mitchell recorded it as a duet with herself, making for the perfect opportunity for the two to collaborate.

Each known for their singularly expressive blends of beauty and humor, Lipnik and Garniez meet at the crossroads of the surreal and the psychedelic, bringing the eternally relevant message of the song into the present moment.
