Chain Tannenbaum

I Cried for US (Single)

Chaim Tannenbaum met Kate McGarrigle in Montreal when they were teenagers. Their mutual musical interests led to decades of singing and playing together, informally and professionally. Not long after Kate died in 2010, Chaim, living with an immeasurable loss, recorded a version of her “I Cried for Us” as a sort of personal and private tribute. Now, around the 10th anniversary of Kate’s death, Chaim publicly releases his recording for the sake of fond remembrance. The track features Doug Wieselman on clarinet, Thomas Bartlett on piano, and Brad Albetta on bass. It was engineered by Alex Venguer at 2nd Story Sound, NYC and mastered by Oscar Zambrano at Zampol Productions, NYC.
